Terms of Use

These terms apply when you use MedTogether, the medicine reminder app made by Handkit ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. Please read them, especially the medical disclaimer.

Medical disclaimer

  • Reminders and records only. MedTogether reminds you of the schedule you enter and records what you mark. It does not give medical advice, suggest doses, check interactions, or tell you whether a medicine is right for you.
  • Follow your doctor or pharmacist. Always follow their instructions and the medicine's label. If anything in the app differs from them, they are right. Ask them before starting, stopping or changing a medicine.
  • Don't rely on it as your only safeguard. A phone can be off, silent, out of battery or restricted by its settings, so a reminder can be late or not appear. Family alerts depend on the internet and can be delayed. For medicines where a missed or extra dose is dangerous, keep other safeguards too.
  • Check what you enter. The app works from what you or a family member types in. Make sure names, amounts and times are correct.
  • In an emergency, call your local emergency number. MedTogether is not an emergency service.

Your account

  • You need an account to use MedTogether. Sign in with Apple, Google or your email address, and keep your sign-in secure.
  • You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country, to create an account. If you're under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms for you.
  • You're responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us if you think someone else has used it.

Family sharing

  • A family is one group: you and up to 5 family members, owned by the person whose Premium covers it. Invite only people who want to take part. Each person decides whether to share their medicines and whether family can make changes, and can change it or leave the family at any time.
  • If someone lets you edit their medicines, be careful: your changes affect their reminders. Add or change medicines for someone else only with their permission.
  • Missed-dose alerts and reminders from family are a help, not a guarantee. They can be delayed or fail, for example without internet.

Premium and payments

  • MedTogether is free for up to 3 medicines. Premium lets you add more medicines and use family features: you and up to 5 family members. The owner's Premium covers everyone in the family.
  • Premium is bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play, and Apple or Google takes the payment. RevenueCat, our payment processor, manages your Premium status. The price and what you get are shown before you buy.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
  • Reminders never stop because of your plan. If Premium ends, reminders for the medicines you already have keep working, but you can't add more than 3. Family features keep working for 14 days, then sharing, missed-dose alerts and Remind pause until the owner renews. Nothing is deleted.
  • We may change what's free and what's in Premium, or its prices, but a change never affects a period you've already paid for.

Your content

What you enter in MedTogether stays yours. You allow us to store, process and show it, to you and the family members you share with, only to run the app. How we handle it is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Using MedTogether fairly

Please don't:

  • use the app to harass, monitor or pressure someone without their agreement;
  • add content that's illegal or that you don't have the right to share;
  • try to get into other people's accounts or data, or get around the app's limits;
  • overload, disrupt, copy or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why when we can.

The service

  • We work to keep MedTogether reliable, but it's provided as it is and as available. We can't promise it will always be on time, free of errors or uninterrupted, and we don't promise any health outcome.
  • We may update, change or stop features. If we ever stop MedTogether, we'll tell you in advance and give you time to save your history.
  • You can stop using MedTogether and delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Profile → Delete account).

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Handkit is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for harm that results from relying on the app instead of medical advice, from missed or late reminders, or from information entered incorrectly. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or takes away rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.

App stores

These terms are between you and Handkit, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google aren't responsible for the app or for support. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence terms also apply, and Apple and its subsidiaries may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. If you keep using MedTogether after that, the new terms apply.
